Haven’t been to Colchester for years! Love all the buildings and architecture, and even though my ex lived there, I’d never been to Colchester Castle – so was quite looking forward to this one!
Shooting with James @ Digital Weddings again, I met Scott in Clacton for a few ‘lads getting ready shots’ then followed them to the castle (literally – see below) and waited for Steph to arrive by horse and carriage. After the wedding and the photos, guests mingled inside the castle museum – I did too – I loved running around a castle / museum looking for the best spots to take pictures. We even braved it outside for some gorgeous couple portraits at night.

So I said that I followed the boys to the castle – literally. Well, I was told to follow them into the castle grounds, get my shots and then find somewhere to park. (High street somewhere, felt like miles away – glad my bag is on wheels!)
Just HAD to take a few pictures though of my little old car outside such an impressive building – surrounded by tourists and visitors – missing a hub cab – not been cleaned for…. way too long!
It’s also one of the last few weddings that my Astra went to, I’ve now got a new bigger, faster, comfy-er and cleaner car ready to ferry me, my kit, guests, flowers, and even the Bride & Groom from venue to venue. (Re: Bride & Groom – yes, that has happened!)
The Astra’s not sold yet (waiting on the boyfriend’s Alfa to go in for a long fix-er-up) she’s so reliable I can’t sell her until I find the right buyer! Might even buy a new hub cap!
