Well! What can I say! Clare & Stuart chose an awesome venue! I’ve been to Gosfield Hall a few times now (enough so I know my way around without a getting lost – sort of). I’ve even experienced this venue as a guest! (Hi Abbie!) It’s beauty stuns me every time I visit, there are so many photo opportunities both inside and out, and then there is Rococco – The Bridal Suite, which kinda speaks for itself. The giant four-poster bed is dwarfed in the tastefully gold Renaissance inspired room, complete with huge mirrors and marble columns. I’m pretty sure this venue would do well opening as a museum during quiet season! (I’m a bit of a building geek, I love home TV shows, old architecture and interior design – the job at the auction house is partly to blame!)
Anyway… Back to the wedding! Clare and her Bridesmaids got ready in the Rococco suite, whilst Stuart got ready in one of the rooms upstairs (I’d never been up on the third floor, so this was a bit exciting for me!) Ceremony was in one of the rooms inside (I think it’s called The Queen’s Gallery, or just The Gallery, either way it’s a long room with windows either side, that the ladies used to walk around for exercise! *Building geek*) After the ceremony, we had to do our group shots inside as it was too cold to keep the guests outside for too long. No problem at Gosfield! The pictures are just as pretty in front of the fireplace in The Grand Salon (piano room/front door)! Wedding breakfast was served in… the big room with the mirrors (the one room I can’t remember the name of! If anyone from Gosfield is reading this, please message me with the name and put me out of my misery!) Clare went all out with her pastel pink and silver glittery table decorations. I’m not a big girly girl but even I liked it, it was lovely and light!
After the dinner we braved the cold and headed outside, I didn’t need to drag Clare & Stuart round as they actually wanted to have a 15 minute break and wander Gosfield’s grounds for some pictures – we even saw blue skies!
Thank you Clare & Stuart and thank you Gosfield for an amazing day! I hope to come back soon!
