Charlotte & Matt @ All Manor Of Events

So, All Manor of Events – a venue that I’ve only ever seen in the rain… well… remember that ridiculously hot week in early September last year? Yehhhh that’s when Charlotte & Matt got married! I had to learn what way the sun goes, where the sunset was – I’d never seen golden hour there before lol!
I remember when Charlotte (& Matt – probably) first got in contact with me, and we arranged to meet up before they booked me to be their wedding photographer – we met at a garden centre. Which I remember meeting another All Manor of Events couple from a few years ago. I got distracted by their indoor plant section, obviously!

I started my morning in the campervan at Wantisden Park – I didn’t fancy the A12 on a Thursday morning and did rather fancy a night in the van on my own at probably my favourite campsite which was only 20 minutes away!
I joined Charlotte and her entourage at Suffolk Yurt Holidays for hair and make up in the cottage (yes I was initially disappointed to not be in a yurt but a giant tent in 30 degree heat is not fun, also… no plug sockets for hair tools!) However the bunting makes a good backdrop and the big oak tree casts some very welcoming shade!
After a 20 minute drive we arrived at All Manor of Events, Henley, Ipswich where we had the civil ceremony in the cool, air-conditioned barn – nobody wanted to leave!
Drinks reception and some quick family groups in the gardens before the V.I.W.G. (Very Important Wedding Guests) arrived – Bella & Sybil the Bride & Groom’s dogs. We then jumped in the van and headed to All Manor of Event’s woodland (just past the alpacas!) – it’s easier to drive in any kind of extreme weather and one of my main concerns was it being too hot for the dogs in the heat of the midday sun so the woods made the perfect, cool environment for these photos. And it’s quiet!
We re-joined the guests for a bit of mingling before everyone headed to the marquee – dressed in subtle sage green to match the Bridal Party’s outfits. The table numbers with photos of the Bride & Groom when they were the corresponding ages. Table 3 with a LOVELY picture of Matt sporting a fetching bowl cut haircut at age 3! The speeches were perfect, not too long but entertaining, finishing up with Charlotte’s Uncle presenting her with her very own pink(!) sheep’s crook. Straight after speeches I then stole Charlotte & Matt for my very first golden hour at All Manor of Events!! The sunset dips down beyond the driveway and fields creating a lovely warm glow through the trees.
Cake cut was followed by first dance to The Wannadies – You & Me – a song I studied before the wedding as Charlotte told me the confetti cannons would go off when the song ‘drops’ so I wanted to be in the right place at the right time for that iconic shot!
Shots, fairy light photos, and I vaguely remember the Vengaboys playing… I’m not one to judge ;)
