Second shooting with my good friend Barbara Mills at Ye Olde Plough House, Bulphan a few weeks ago. Barbara & I do love a good natter and catch up whilst shooting weddings together, bouncing ideas off one another and having fun.
Amy & Steve had their ceremony and reception all at Ye Olde Plough House in Bulphan, Amy getting ready in one of the rooms close-by. Just before the ceremony, it decided to snow, only lightly but luckily the make-up artist had an old black cab so Amy and her Dad hitched a lift to the ceremony room at the front of the venue!
The flowers were crafted by Steve’s sister, and Steve’s two eldest boys were best-men (although reluctant to stand up in front of everyone and for a speech!)
It rained throughout most of the day but thankfully Ye Olde Plough House has a large bar area that comfortably fit everyone, we did our family shots in the light and warm reception room. After a lovely dinner lots of partying ensued – including a big dance-off to Forever Blowing Bubbles. I’m a Spurs fan by default (the boyfriend!) – but I bit my lip!
Despite the weather, it was a great day, lots of fun and friendly families – even met another couple that Barbara and I are photographing later in the year – small world!
